2019-01-14T17:54:08+00:00January 14th, 2019|Activities|0 Comments

During the past academic year, a group of students interested in these topics carried out a work of reflection, sharing of ideas and analysis of those aspects in which they thought they could collaborate. Now, halfway through the project, we once again summon interested students to start specifying the transmission of good practices. On Friday, January 11, a group of students gathered bringing their experience, knowledge transmission, good work, responsible consumption, awareness in the reuse, a sustainable economy, etc.

As an example of this, we present various ideas from the group of students that will continue to collaborate for the next meeting that will take place on Monday, February 4 at 10 a.m. in the Secretariat of the Universitat per a Majors.

Seminar in Malta’s main VET institute MCAST

2019-02-07T11:29:41+00:00September 15th, 2018|Activities|0 Comments

This seminar was jointly organised by MECB Ltd, a technical excellence and innovation consulting bureau and MCAST, Malta’s leading VET Institute. As was outlined in this morning seminar, CE is a driver for innovation in the areas of material, component and product-reuse as well as new entrepreneurial business models. The concept of a circular economy approach is that of keeping raw materials and products in productive loops for as long as possible. It is essentially concerned with designing waste out from industrial systems, making them less dependent on the extraction of resource reserves that are by default not infinite. In this respect, this seminar introduced the concept of Circular Economy, related case-studies as well as introduced seminar participants to a free digital training toolbox complete with an e-learning course that will help them to learn more at their own pace and time. In addition, the e-Learning content making use of new digital technologies such as augmented reality provided participants with a set of resources they can freely use and edit for their own purposes.
